About Ibu Bumi Orangutan

Ibu Bumi Orangutan is a non-profit initiative dedicated to the conservation of rainforest flora and fauna in and around the Gunung Leuser National Park in North Sumatra, Indonesia. We work to protect the area, a designated World Heritage site, by implementing sustainable strategies that benefit both the environment and the local communities. Through our Sumatra Trekking, we fund our conservation efforts by directing 10% of every booking fee from trekking trips, holidays, and volunteer programs directly into our NGO projects. Our work focuses on a variety of projects, including wildlife conservation, support for local farmers, and environmental education for children.
