About Icarus AI
Phone addiction is plaguing the modern world. We spend around 88 days, or 2112 hours, a year on our phones, distracted by social media, addicted to false dopamine, and neglecting our friends, families, and responsibilities. Phone addiction is one of the most pervasive challenges of the modern world. On average, people spend over 2,100 hours—nearly 88 days—each year on their phones, often pulled into endless social feeds, short-term dopamine loops, and constant distraction at the expense of focus, growth, and meaningful relationships. Icarus AI is built to change that. We re-engineer the dopamine cycle by placing educational “locks” on the most distracting apps—requiring users to learn, study, or engage with new concepts before unlocking access. Instead of fighting phone usage, we transform it into a system that rewards growth, learning, and intentional behavior. By turning moments of distraction into opportunities for real cognitive nourishment, Icarus AI helps users build better habits, stay aligned with their goals, and use technology as a tool for progress—not a drain on their potential.
