About Iceland Travel

Established in 1936 and based in Reykjavík, Iceland, our local experts craft once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences and take guests on extraordinary Icelandic journeys. We take immense pride in our diverse portfolio of tours and high service standards, but it’s our commitment to community and our deep connections to local family-run businesses and suppliers that truly distinguishes us from the rest. Our longstanding history is built on our local roots, the extensive experience of our team, and our pledge to preserving Iceland’s fragile natural environment. Iceland Travel proudly meets the comprehensive assessment criteria of VAKINN’s Gold-Class Environmental standards. We also operate a three-hectare grove - a wonderful destination in itself - as a part of Iceland’s broader reforestation efforts. That’s why when you book with us it means that you take the preservation of community and the protection of our environment and its precious natural resources seriously. We are your proud local hosts - that’s why we put our guest’s needs first, focus on hospitality by paying attention to the details, and striving to create authentic and memorable experiences for everyone. We offer a diversity of escorted tours, self-guided road trips, and day tours of Iceland, Greenland, and the nearby Faroe Islands as well as custom-designed tours to meet your needs. We look forward to sharing our beautiful country and nearby destinations with you!
