About iDetic - Bespoke Home Cinemas • Smart Homes • Lighting & Shading • Calibration Specialists (SA)

iDetic designs and delivers reference‑grade home cinemas and smart homes across South Africa. Led by Charl Lotter (HAA/THX & PVA certified), we handle everything end‑to‑end: Design, build, integration, calibration, and support. So the technology disappears and the experience remains. What we do • Home cinema / home theatre / home theater - room layout, isolation, acoustics, seating, projection & Dolby Atmos; commissioning with before/after measurements. • Smart home automation - predictable scenes & reliable control; Control4 and Crestron where appropriate. • Lighting & shading - scene‑based design and quiet automation on Lutron and Control4. • Networking & Wi‑Fi - structured cabling, UniFi design, VLANs/QoS, remote monitoring. • Power continuity - battery backup & solar integration for load‑shedding resilience and cost saving. How we work • CEDIA‑aligned practices and calibration targets verified at handover. • Limited concurrent projects; direct‑to‑client accountability from first site visit to post‑install care. • Cape Town–based with nationwide delivery on select projects. Platforms we integrate (project‑dependent): Control4, Crestron, Lutron, Trinnov, JVC, Barco, Ascendo. Let’s design a system that measures right, looks exquisite and is effortless to live with.
