About IEEE UT San Antonio Student Chapter

We are the UT San Antonio Student Branch of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), the world's largest technical professional organization dedicated to advancing technology for the benefit of humanity. Our mission at UTSA is to bridge the gap between academic theory and professional practice. We provide students in engineering, computing, and related technical fields with opportunities for hands-on technical development, networking with industry leaders, and building a community of like-minded innovators on campus. Through our chapter, members gain access to: Technical Workshops: Hands-on training sessions on relevant technologies and tools (e.g., PCB design, microcontroller programming, Python, VHDL/Verilog). Industry Connections: Guest speaker events, info sessions, and networking nights with engineers and recruiters from leading tech companies. Collaborative Projects: Opportunities to apply classroom knowledge to real-world challenges, such as robotics, IoT devices, and energy systems. Professional Growth: Panels and seminars on career development, research opportunities, and the future of technology. IEEE UT San Antonio Student Branch is open to all students with a passion for technology. Whether your interest lies in software, hardware, artificial intelligence, power systems, robotics, or biomedical engineering, our organization is your hub for building the skills and connections you need to succeed.
