Iisalmen Sahat Oy, better known for its marketing name, IPO Wood, is located in the central part of Finland, at the heart of responsible forestry. We have been a part of the Iisalmi town history for over 100 years. The journey we have taken together ties us firmly to the surrounding society, providing us with a natural role in building its sustainable future. We provide responsibly produced high-quality sawn timber from Finnish forests, constantly developing our product selection to meet the evolving needs of our customers. We use only 100 % Finnish spruce and pine harvested from the vicinity of our sawmill. Whether intended for building or any other purpose, this ensures the durability and reliability of our products. We work for greener future together with local companies for example by utilizing by-products from our sawmill to generate pulp and carbon neutral heat for industrial purposes. Utilizing the entire tree as efficiently as possible is an essential element in our responsible operations. The difference lies in smart choices, thorough commitment and action that can bring in results. This is what we are ready to promise, both to every link of the wood industry value chain and to our home district, the sustainable development of which is a matter of heart to us. The privately owned Iisalmen Sahat has a sawmill in the Peltosalmi part of Iisalmi, a town located in Central Finland, in the middle of the highest quality forests. We produce ca. 200 000 cubic meters of sawn timber annually. Ca. 60 % of our production consists or spruce and the remaining 40 % of pine. During 2023 we exported sawn timber to 20 countries.
