About In the Black

In The Black is a non-profit group dedicated to equipping youth with the tools and skills they need to navigate adulthood with confidence. Our mission is simple: empower young people to take charge of their financial futures through practical life skills and financial literacy. We believe that economic empowerment is crucial for a bright future. Through engaging workshops, real-world tools, and community driven events, we break down complex financial topics into relatable, actionable knowledge – from budgeting and saving to credit and financial planning. Created for youth, by youth, our programs are relatable and real – because learning about money and life skills shouldn't be boring or overwhelming. We’re here to make sure that the next generation is not only surviving, but thriving in the black.
