Yoga goes perfectly with meditation, relaxation, and…wine? Indeed it does! In the Spirit Yoga Studio, Wine Lounge & Boutique is the brainchild of Debi Niven, a local business owner. Nestled in Scarborough’s Highland Creek neighbourhood, In the Spirit has been offering yoga classes and a space to connect with friends in the lounge (to sample excellent yet affordable wines) since it opened in 2010. The Boutique opened in 2014 offering yoga props, women's active wear, leisure wear and accessories. The studio offers Hatha, Restorative and Yin yoga classes both LIVE and ONLINE - tailored to the physical needs and fitness levels of its students. Live classes are small and mirror-free to encourage an intimate, non-judgmental atmosphere. Instructors offer personal attention in a calm and serene environment - awareness, respect and safety of the participant is always at the forefront of our minds. Series classes are also offered throughout the year such as Yoga 101 and 201, Sound Healing, Movement, Mantra & Meditation, Chair Yoga for Beginners and Intermediate levels. Special workshops include Hot Stone Restorative Yoga, Release, Relax and Refresh and a monthly 90 minute Restorative class.
