About Information Systems Student Research Journal (ISSRJ)

About Mission ISSRJ is dedicated to publishing innovative research by IS students. The journal champions original student research that engages with cutting-edge IS knowledge, prioritizing scientific relevance and novel ideas that might otherwise be overlooked in traditional academic outlets. The journal serves as a platform for both graduate (master’s) and undergraduate (bachelor’s) students to gain valuable experience in academic publishing while contributing meaningful insights to the IS community. By emphasizing the significance of contributions over methodological sophistication while maintaining research transparency, ISSRJ aims to foster the development of the next generation of IS practitioners and researchers and stimulate fresh perspectives in the field. Types of Submissions ISSRJ welcomes research papers, thesis digests, innovation snapshots, reflection notes, and other submissions. Please see Submission Requirements for more information. The Review Process The journal maintains a thorough assessment process through double-blind peer reviews involving a diverse group of reviewers, including students and faculty members, the latter being university professors. The evaluation will consider clarity, coherence, methodological rigor, relevance, originality, and contribution to the IS field. However, these evaluation criteria will be interpreted at the level of undergraduate and graduate students. The authors will receive a review package that includes the editorial decision (rejection, acceptance with major revisions, acceptance with minor revisions, or acceptance for publication), an editorial report, and individual reviews. The journal offers developmental reviews, focusing on why the paper should be published, what revisions are necessary, and guidance on how to incorporate changes to address the feedback. Authors are invited to meet with the managing editor to receive further advice on interpreting and responding to the comments. The journal prioritizes
