Connecting people to communities in Western Maine through the sustainable management of high quality, durable trails and woods for all seasons. Founded in 2011, Inland Woods + Trails (IWT) is a 501c3 non-profit organization located in Bethel with a mission of connecting people to communities in Western Maine through sustainable management of high quality, durable trails and woods for all seasons. IWT is developing centers of gravity that provide inclusive opportunities for recreation in a natural environment that supports healthy lifestyles. IWT maintains over 100 miles of trails in five towns throughout Oxford County for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, fat tire biking, and snowshoeing. With over a decade of experience working with communities and the natural world, the projects and initiatives that IWT lead and manage purposely activate efforts to bolster the local economy year-round.
