The Institute promotes excellence in equality, diversity and human rights professional practice. The Institute is independent and run by practitioners for practitioners. All activities are funded by individual and corporate member subscriptions and by corporate sponsorships. The Institute of Equality and Diversity Practitioners will: * Develop, promote, maintain and regulate national practice and professional standards in the field of equality, diversity and human rights. * Be the organisation of choice for equality, diversity and human rights practitioners. * Promote excellence in equality, diversity and human rights practice. * Promote and influence change at local, national and supra-national government and levels, and in the public, private and third sectors.
