About Institute of Liberal Politics

The “Institute of Liberal Politics” a non-governmental organization (NGO) founded in 2018 and registered in the Republic of Armenia and since then has implemented a number of projects directed to the empowerment of democracy and the rule of law. The Institute is an independent think tank providing free liberal non-formal education to talented young people (interested in liberalism, Human Rights, and politics), as well as conducting research products and independent expertise to different target groups, State agencies, vulnerable groups of people and etc. Within all 4 years of the institute’s operation, the School of Liberal Politics is successfully being carried out. It aims at preparing a new generation of leaders who are willing to bear and spread liberal values and become advocates for democratic consolidation through non-formal civic and political education of the youth throughout Armenia. The president of the board of the “Institute of Liberal Politics” is Tatevik Matinyan. The Institute is based in Yerevan; however, the activities of the organization cover all regions of the country. Within the last 4 years over 15 projects have been carried out by the Institute in the fields of Freedom of expression, combating hate speech, entrepreneurship, EU-Armenia relations and etc. “Institute of Liberal Politics” NGO is a member of the European Liberal Forum from 2020
