About Institute of Transportation Engineers | TAMUite

Founded in 1962, TAMU ITE student chapter has been one of the most active student organization across universities. The purpose of this organization shall be to promote the advancement of transportation engineering. TAMU ITE is actively involved in organizing general meetings where researchers and professionals from Industry deliver lectures on topics related to Transportation. Chapter also conducts Technical workshops, events like Adopt a Highway and actively participates in Professional conferences. The goals of this organization shall be to foster the closer association of students with the transportation profession and the Institute of Transportation Engineers (ITE), to promote the development of professional spirit, and to identify and address common transportation interests among the student members.
