About Instituto Caldeira

We are a non-profit institute that connects people and initiatives through our innovation hub and its community, in order to improve competitiveness and the ecosystem of the new economy. We were founded by 42 major companies in Rio Grande do Sul. Our purpose is to drive positive and lasting transformation in our state by means of innovation. We are located in an old industrial complex (22000m² in size) that still houses the boilers imported from Europe by AJ Renner in the 1920s. The Instituto Caldeira (Boiler Institute) is a space dedicated to innovative activities and the new economy. It also acts as the center for the research, technology and innovation activities of many companies. Our community consists of: - Over 160 inter-connected companies - Over 60 startups - Over 700 people accessing the hub on a daily basis
