About International Alliance of Independent Publishers

A solidarity professional network of 800 independent publishers in 60 countries, the Alliance promotes and strengthens bibliodiversity through: - coordinating solidarity co-publishing projects; - organising international workshops, conferences & meetings; - feeding a Bibliodiversity Observatory that gathers studies, analysis and tools on topics such as public book policies, digital publishing, book ecology, freedom to publish and minority languages; - representing the voice of independent publishing through advocacy. In 2022, the Alliance launched Babelica, an international online book fair of independent publishing which takes place each September, to celebrate International Bibliodiversity Day on September 21.
