About International Education Peace Volunteers

Our mission is to build a community of Peace Volunteers who inspire diverse communities to grow in cultural humility and religious harmony through intercultural learning and interreligious education. (501c3) International Education Peace Volunteers is an all volunteer-managed nonprofit in the USA, serving interested communities in and near institutions of higher education by promoting intercultural and interreligious learning opportunities through our Peace Volunteers. Our Vision as a non-faith based is to promote intercultural and interreligious peace through current and former International Students, International Scholars, Study Abroad Students, and others who want to be involved in international education as Peace Volunteers, using international education for intercultural learning and peacebuilding among interested cultural and religious communities, on and off the campuses of higher education institutions. Our Peace Volunteers are current and former International Students, International Scholars, Study Abroad Students, and others who believe international education can build intercultural and interreligious peace. Some of our current activities: Online Small Group Discussions: We use online video-chat small group discussions to help communities practice cultural and intellectual humility in listening. We are currently offering this opportunity in collaboration with the Intown4Peace Throughline Discussions. Our Peace Volunteers also serve as One-on-One Cultural Ambassadors, in online or in person cross-cultural conversations to build cultural self-awareness and other-awareness. We offer Intercultural Assessments and Guidance: Volunteers receive the Intercultural Development Inventory assessment, receive a development plan, and engage in intercultural and interreligious learning with our Peace Volunteers. We are located in Atlanta, Georgia. But our Peace Volunteers can engage any interested community near an institution of higher education in the USA.
