About Interreg Italy-Croatia

We are an EU cross-border cooperation Programme established in 2015, featuring a distinct blue and green pattern. We encompass all Italian provinces and Croatian counties along the Adriatic Sea. Therefore, we contribute to the goals of European Territorial Cooperation and Cohesion Policy in a variety of territories, from coastal to blue and from green to urban areas. We aim to address the common challenges our territories face, such as sustainable economic development, environmental issues, and cross-border mobility. We achieve this by funding projects that work on green and blue innovation, climate change adaptation, risk prevention, cultural heritage preservation, more sustainable and balanced tourism, greener and more integrated cross-border mobility, and institutional capacity building to reduce cross-border obstacles. Digitalisation and circular economy are our cross-cutting issues. What is important to us is making the best use of our projects’ results. To achieve this, we select the most replicable products and solutions and promote their further use and development. Finally, we do not act alone but in synergy with the EU Strategy for the Adriatic-Ionian Region (EUSAIR) and other Interreg programmes to maximise the impact on our territories. We fund 3 types of projects: Small-scale, Standard, and Operations of Strategic Importance (OSI), within 5 Priorities and 7 Specific Objectives. Our timeline foresees 4 Calls for Proposals by 2026.
