About IPF, k.o.

IPF is the Slovene collecting society for asserting rights of performers and producers of phonograms. IPF is a non-profit organisation, established by music performers and producers of phonograms with the sole purpose of collective protection and asserting of related rights, as regulated by the Copyright and related rights Act and Regulating collective management of copyright and related rights Act. Performers as well as producers are entitled by law to an equitable remuneration, paid by the users of phonograms. IPF collectively asserts and protects the rights of national performers and producers of phonograms and, on the basis of international agreements, also brings into force and protects the rights of foreign performers and producers of phonograms in Slovenia. Main activity of the collecting society is collecting remuneration for public use of phonograms, which are being used in business purposes by users, such as restaurants, shops, television and radio stations, bars, etc. Collecting of remunerations for the usage of recordings is made on the basis of the Rule book for using phonograms and its’ tariff part. Raised remunerations are then being distributed among legitimate performers and producers of music recordings.
