About IROKO Theatre Company

We are IROKO Theatre Company. Simply known as IROKO! We are committed to providing opportunities and environments for people of all ages, backgrounds, and abilities to fulfil their potential. Our aim is to use African theatre approaches as a vehicle for learning and for raising the confidence and self-esteem of people of all ages and abilities. We also aim to raise awareness, preserve, celebrate, interpret and explain African heritage and culture, so that more people and a wider range of people will be able to engage with the heritage, learn about it and have informed and changed attitudes and/or behaviour towards it.
