About Islamabad Brazilian Jiu Jitsu
We’re more than a combat sports academy. We’re a movement. At Islamabad Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (ISBBJJ), we are building a culture of resilience, respect, and empowerment in Pakistan through the art of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Our journey began when Coach Usama Eitezaz, inspired by his training in Sydney, Australia, returned home with a mission: to introduce world-class Jiu-Jitsu to Islamabad. Guided by the expertise of Professor Alex “NEGÃO” Paz (5th Degree Black Belt) and Professor Kalil Gibran Pinto (2nd Degree Black Belt) of Clube De Lutas Team Australia, our curriculum blends authentic lineage with innovation, tailored to the realities of our community. Today, ISBBJJ stands as Pakistan’s leading Jiu-Jitsu academy, not only training athletes of all levels but also creating a research-driven platform where martial arts intersects with social impact. Our work extends beyond the mats: we are working towards designing evidence-based initiatives in gender protection, women’s empowerment, and human security, exploring how Jiu-Jitsu can serve as both a self-defence system and a catalyst for societal change. From grassroots programs and youth development to women’s self-defence seminars and academic collaborations, we see Jiu-Jitsu as more than techniques. It is a lifestyle and framework for transformation. Through structured training, discipline, and community, our students learn resilience, confidence, and camaraderie skills that prepare them not just for the fight, but for life. At ISBBJJ, whether you’re stepping on the mats for the first time or pushing towards proficiency, you become part of a mission larger than yourself: to build safer, stronger, and more united communities in Pakistan.
