About Istanbul Film Station

Istanbul Film Station is a dynamic film-project hub based in Istanbul, tailored for short and documentary filmmakers in the development stage. It offers two main streams—Shorts (non-documentary short films) and Docs (short or feature-length documentaries)—where 5 projects in each category are chosen as finalists and an additional 10 as discovery projects Rather than a screenplay competition, it acts as a creative incubator: participants join workshops, pitch sessions, and one-on-one meetings with genre-expert mentors from prestigious European festivals, as well as producers, funders, and distributors—aimed at turning their projects into internationally successful films. Supported by the European Union and the French Cultural Center, this platform emphasizes both ethical and commercial values in filmmaking. Its also official member of Short Film Conference and Documentary Association of Europe.
