jade lab is a community-rooted consulting collective designing processes, not prescriptions — pathways that help communities, governments, and organizations move with intention toward more just, resilient futures. We partner with frontline communities, public agencies, and mission-driven organizations to support the planning, research, and engagement work that makes equitable infrastructure and climate adaptation possible. Our approach centers lived experience, honors local knowledge, and resists the pressure to “solve” complex challenges from the outside. Instead, we build sustainable, collaborative processes that shift power and create conditions for long-term community-led change. What We Do: Participatory & Equitable Engagement: Designing creative, culturally rooted engagement strategies that bring communities into decision-making with clarity, dignity, and care. Qualitative Research & Sensemaking: Translating community insights into meaningful themes, stories, and pathways that guide planning and investment decisions. Climate & Infrastructure Strategy: Supporting projects at the intersection of resilience, environmental justice, transportation, and place-based planning. Process Design: Building structures that enable teams, agencies, and communities to collaborate more effectively and sustainably.
