About Jamma Umoja Residential Services

At Jamma Umoja, which means “families in union” in Swahili, we are committed to supporting families through tailored assessments and holistic services that lead to lasting positive outcomes. Our mission is clear: to keep families together and help them thrive. We operate residential family centres located in Croydon and Bromley. Each residential family centre provides a nurturing, safe space for up to 9 families. We offer comprehensive parenting assessments that allow parents to demonstrate their capabilities while receiving support and guidance. Our work is rooted in evidence-based practices, with a primary focus on child safety and strengthening the ability of parents to care for their children in the community. We conduct thorough, specialist parenting assessments, including PAMS and Parent Assess, to help parents build and refine their skills. We provide a range of training opportunities to our dedicated team to ensure the highest standards of service and care. Our 12-16 week assessments focus on empowering parents to make meaningful changes and demonstrate their capacity to meet their children’s needs.
