About JATROPOWER AG

JATROPOWER is a high-performance agritech and biological carbon removal platform developing advanced Jatropha curcas cultivars for large-scale deployment on degraded and low-opportunity-cost land. Building on more than 15 years of research and field experience, the company has established strictly non-GMO breeding systems for high-yielding, climate-resilient Jatropha varieties, including edible, non-toxic Xuta® cultivars. These proprietary plant systems combine long-duration plant biomass carbon removal with the production of high-quality vegetable oil and edible plant protein, enabling economically viable, climate-positive land use without competing for fertile food land. JATROPOWER’s platform integrates advanced breeding, scalable seed systems and deep agronomic expertise to support the establishment of resilient plantation systems in climate-stressed regions. The resulting production models generate multiple value streams from a single land base, including RED-eligible biofuel feedstock, high-quality edible plant protein and certified carbon removal, while maintaining low input requirements and strong adaptability to heat and drought stress. With a strong scientific foundation, international research partnerships and in-house certification capabilities, JATROPOWER enables plantation operators and downstream partners to convert degraded land into productive, climate-positive assets that meet tightening sustainability, traceability and supply-chain integrity requirements.
