Since 2011, the Jewellery Quarter Development Trust (JQDT) has been driving positive change in Birmingham’s historic Jewellery Quarter. Guided by local voices, JQDT enriches the area’s economy, amenities, and culture - building a vibrant sense of place for everyone who lives, works, and visits. Key achievements include establishing the Business Improvement District (2012–2022), securing £2 million in heritage funding, creating the Jewellery Quarter Neighbourhood Plan - a strategic roadmap for the area’s future - and most recently securing Birmingham’s World Craft City status for Jewellery and Allied Trades. With dedicated volunteers at its core, JQDT remains committed to shaping a thriving, resilient community.
