About JH2 Architects

JH2 Architects is a Newport Beach-based architecture firm known for crafting timeless, site-sensitive residential and commercial spaces across Southern California. From oceanfront estates to hillside fire-rebuilds, we combine deep local expertise with bold creative thinking — delivering design solutions that are not only beautiful, but deeply personal and rooted in place. Founded by Joohyun Her, JH2 blends modern architectural rigor with a hands-on, collaborative approach. We believe in the power of sketching as a communication tool, the richness of material details, and the importance of deeply understanding how our clients live, work, and feel in a space. We specialize in: • High-end residential architecture • Fire rebuilds with permitting and insurance coordination • Coastal and hillside design solutions • Adaptive reuse and modernizations • Commercial and hospitality design Whether rebuilding a home after tragedy or shaping your dream retreat from the ground up, JH2 Architects guides every project from concept through construction — with clarity, care, and creativity.
