About JLRD, Inc

JLRD is a Florida-based mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection (MEP/FP) engineering firm supporting public and private sector facilities, primarily across Florida, with experience on select projects outside the state. Since 1991, JLRD has provided engineering services for environments where safety, reliability, sustainability, and operational continuity are critical. The firm supports a broad range of project types, including education, healthcare, government and public institutions, utilities and infrastructure, transportation facilities, industrial operations, hospitality and destination properties, and other mission-critical environments. JLRD’s work spans the full project lifecycle—from feasibility studies and detailed systems design through construction administration, commissioning, and closeout. Services are delivered in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and professional judgment, with attention to constructability, coordination, and long-term system performance. The firm is known for disciplined QA/QC practices, clear communication, and early coordination with owners, architects, contractors, and Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJ). This approach supports predictable execution on projects where schedule sensitivity, compliance, public exposure, and system reliability carry meaningful consequences. With four offices strategically located in Florida, JLRD provides engineering services grounded in technical rigor, accountability, and practical execution in real-world conditions.
