About Joana Amora Studio

Joana is a Brazilian transdisciplinary artist and communicator based in Europe. Since 2017, she has been co-creating living works that mix reality and imagination, learning with nature and life itself about relationships, ecosystems, life/death, social and philosophical dynamics in space-time. Through walking and collecting, her work blends nature and human nature into objects, installations, photography, video, drawing, writing and various media. Her practice flirts with land art, earth art, performance and conceptual art. While travelling between worlds, she proposes that we play with the universe to cultivate better realities. In 2024 she directed the commissioned documentary of the ‘Revoada’ project at the Venice Biennale. She is Summa Cum Laude in Visual Arts in 2023. Her studies final paper, 'Practical Manual of the Artist-Gardener', developed during a residency at Échangeur22, is recommended for publication. Works in collection: Galeria Curto Circuito UFRJ; NIDF UFRJ.
