The Joint Radio Company Ltd. (JRC) is an industry-owned independent Spectrum Management Organisation with primary responsibility for co-ordination of the radio spectrum used by the UK Energy Network Operators. Our areas of expertise include: • Scanning Telemetry and SCADA System planning and licensing; • Coordination of wind farms with existing Energy Network Operator radio links; • Radio Link Planning (VHF, UHF and Microwave); • Analogue and Digital Private Mobile Radio planning and commissioning; • Consultancy on spectrum requirements for the energy network operators; and • Future radio solution consultancy Joint Radio Company is a joint venture between National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET), National Gas Transmission (NGT) and the Energy Networks Association (ENA), tasked with enhancing operational control of UK energy infrastructure.
