About Journal of Internal Medicine Today

Internal Medicine Today (IMT) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal owned by Gonabad University of Medical Sciences and co-published with Zamen Salamati Publishing Institute. The journal was first launched in 1995 under the title Journal of Gonabad’s Faculty of Medical Sciences, later renamed Horizon of Medical Sciences in 2001, and is now published as Internal Medicine Today. IMT publishes English full-text articles with Persian abstracts (250–300 words) across major disciplines of internal medicine, including cardiology, endocrinology, gastroenterology, infectious diseases, hematology, nephrology, pulmonary medicine, rheumatology, oncology, and neurology. All submissions undergo double-blind peer review to ensure the highest standards of scientific quality. The journal is published quarterly and offers free access to its content under a CC-BY-NC license. Articles are available in both PDF and HTML formats, assigned with DOI identifiers, and screened by plagiarism detection systems (iThenticate & Samim Noor).
