About Juniper Corner

Juniper Corner is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit led by San Leandro parents and educators who decided to build an essential service for our community: an affordable, high-quality indoor space for unstructured, toddler-led play. Since our founding in 2023, Juniper Corner has hosted dozens of pop-up community events all over the East Bay, reaching hundreds of local families. Thanks to community enthusiasm, support from local officials and institutions, and fundraising momentum, we have secured a permanent location in Downtown San Leandro! We are currently working on transforming this vacant commercial storefront into a small-scale interactive children’s museum mixed with an inspiring indoor playground. We believe Juniper Corner’s space will be a transformational resource for families as well as an economic benefit for the area.
