About Just be a Child

We believe that access to literacy, learning, and opportunity has the power to transform lives. Working across the UK and Kenya, we build libraries, deliver literacy programmes, provide training, and support community empowerment initiatives that create lasting change. Our work is rooted in partnership, dignity, and community-led solutions — empowering individuals and communities to learn, grow, and thrive. Join us as a partner, supporter, or volunteer and be part of creating brighter futures through education and empowerment.
