About Just Energy Transition Funding Platform

The JET Funding Platform is a matchmaking service linking grant funders with beneficiaries of Just Energy Transition (JET) projects. It addresses funding gaps by improving access to grant finance—particularly for small-scale and capacity-building initiatives critical to reducing coal dependency. Supporting implementation of the JET IP (2023–2027), it will initially focus on coal value chain communities and scale up financing for JET initiatives unable to access commercial funding. The platform is not a fund, but a service connecting grant funders with JET-aligned projects requiring financial and project preparation support. It provides updates on fund deployment and project preparation support to help originators become grant-ready.
