About Justice for Ronan Kanda
Like too many others, Ronan's life was brutally taken from him by knife crime. He was innocent and only 16. On 29 June 2022 at 8pm, Ronan was found just metres from his home having been attacked in a harrowing case of mistaken identity. He had popped out to pick up a playstation controller from a school friend who lived in the same neighbourhood. It was broad daylight and Ronan, happily listening to music as he walked home, was totally oblivious to the fact that his life was in any danger. Ronan was the one who would make you laugh, the one who would comfort you, the one who would light up any room. He was bubbly, friendly, caring and loving. He was only 16 years old and had just passed his GCSEs with flying colours. He was looking forward to his future ahead of him, but on that day, Ronan's life ended for no reason at all. Since we lost Ronan, we have been relentlessly campaigning for a ban on the sale of machetes, zombie knives, and ninja swords. Since coming into power, Labour have announced a ban on the sale of machetes and zombie knives and new, stricter measures to tackle knife crime under Ronan's Law. We are honoured to have this progress made in Ronan's name and his legacy. Thanks to everyone who has supported us - there's still so much more to be done, but with your support we can make change happen together. Please help us to fight knife crime and find justice for our beautiful, innocent boy. You can follow our campaign updates, donate, and purchase Ronan Kanda t-shirts and hoodies here on our website.
