About Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP

Kansas Kids @ GEAR UP is a federally funded college access program committed to helping youth in foster care across Kansas prepare for postsecondary success. Through personalized support, career exploration, academic guidance, and college readiness experiences, we empower students to take ownership of their future. We partner with schools, communities, and higher education institutions to provide meaningful exposure to postsecondary pathways—whether that’s college, technical training, or a career. Our team works statewide to ensure every student has the support system, skills, and confidence they need to thrive beyond high school.
