About Keep Manatee Beautiful

Keep Manatee Beautiful unites the community to enhance public spaces, promote beautification, and reduce litter. Keep Manatee Beautiful (KMB) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and proud affiliate of Keep America Beautiful. We bring together residents, businesses, and local governments to create a cleaner, greener, and more vibrant Manatee County. Our work centers on the idea that beautification builds stronger communities. Through volunteer cleanups, tree plantings, native landscaping, and education programs, we help people take ownership of their neighborhoods and workplaces. From small business storefronts to public parks and coastal areas, KMB projects make visible, lasting improvements that inspire civic pride and environmental responsibility. Each year, thousands of volunteers and dozens of local partners join us in removing litter, planting trees, and enhancing community spaces. Together, we improve quality of life, attract investment, and protect the natural beauty that makes Manatee County special. Residents, visitors and businesses of all sizes play a critical role in our mission, whether by sponsoring cleanups, adopting roadways, or engaging employees in corporate volunteer days. Residents can also make a difference through neighborhood cleanups, educational workshops, or by simply leading by example. KMB’s vision is simple: a county where every citizen and business contributes to a clean, beautiful, and sustainable environment.
