Ultimately, the effect of good design is measured in the quality of life and well-being of the people who use and experience our designs. While each project is unique, KGP design studio utilizes certain core strategies in the development of each design. Our projects are informed by: - Listening to the functional and programmatic needs expressed by the client and user, emphasizing both quality and economy - Integrating the project with its own particular context - its surroundings, climate, topography, and landscape - Understanding the surrounding physical, social and cultural conditions - Recognizing and expanding upon design opportunities that positively affect the public realm; and - Developing an open design process that, where appropriate, encourages the voices and opinions of our diverse communities.
