About Kicks for Kids Foundation
We are a group of Aussie uni students using sport to connect with and support disadvantaged communities across the Indo-Pacific. Since 2013, we’ve donated thousands of balls, jerseys, and boots to schools and communities in 34 countries across the Global South. Our collaborations with diplomats, defence forces, INGOs and DFAT have taken our projects on-the-ground in places like Syria, North Korea, and Gaza. In 2025, our work focused on Papua New Guinea, Fiji, Timor-Leste, and the Solomon Islands. Kicks for Kids was born when Mac (aged 9) lobbied the Australian Minister for Defence to have Aussie soldiers help him deliver a hundred soccer balls to children in the Afghanistan. More than a decade down-the-track, our team of 6 mates from university still have the same mission… We want to enable more disadvantaged kids to access the developmental benefits of sports. Why? Because we believe in the power of sport to improve the lives of disadvantaged children, to embed resilience within vulnerable communities, and to strengthen Australia's ties with its regional neighbours - through youth-led people-to-people connectivity. Learn more about our journey, our impact, and some of the inspiring people we've encountered along our way, by visiting our website or following us on Instagram (@kfkfoundation).
