About Kids of Malawi - USA

Kids of Malawi - USA (KOM) envisions a Malawi where all sick children receive high-quality healthcare. To achieve this goal, the KOM Board of Directors, most of whom are health professionals who have worked in Malawi, raise funds and give grants to organizations that provide healthcare services on the ground. KOM’s mission is to improve the health of children in Malawi by focusing on frontline health care services and being responsive to the needs of health care workers on the ground. The frontline health care workers are best situated to identify barriers and provide solutions to improve care. We respond to grant request that support health worker staffing levels, train staff to provide better patient care, and improve access to medications, lab investigations, and monitoring equipment for patients.
