Kindred Spirits is a South African spirits company that builds and grows distinctive craft brands. The business began with the acquisition of Sugarbird Gin in 2020. After the brand entered liquidation, new ownership rebuilt the business and assembled a new team focused on sustainable growth and long-term brand development. During the Covid period the team developed several new products and brands, using the disruption in the market as an opportunity to innovate and expand beyond a single flagship label. This work led to the creation of Kindred Spirits as a house of brands - bringing together a growing portfolio of African craft spirits businesses under one roof.
