About Klimakommune Saerbeck

In Saerbeck, we are at the pioneer of the local energy revolution. Climate protection is an incentive and an obligation for us. We have been following the Saerbeck route since 2009 and have achieved a great deal: We now generate three times as much green electricity from wind, sun and biomass as we consume in the village. As the climate community of the future, we pass on our knowledge and experience to schoolchildren, politicians, scientists and anyone interested in climate protection. Visitors from all over the world have informed themselves about the Saerbeck Way.
