About Knowledge and Expertise Center for Prevention and Vitality

The Knowledge and Expertise Center for Prevention and Vitality at Maastricht UMC+ brings together academic knowledge and practical experience, bundling expertise from researchers and professionals from both the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Life Sciences (Maastricht University) and the academic hospital in the field of prevention and vitality. The center stimulates collaboration within Maastricht UMC+ as well as with local, regional, and national partners, translating science into practice and actively promoting policy in this area. Our aim is to take a leading role, both regionally and nationally, in reducing health disparities, integrating prevention, and building a sustainable, healthier society. The three core functions: 🔗 Connect – bringing together people, knowledge, and practical questions across domains and disciplines. 💡 Drive – integrating prevention, strengthening professionals, stimulating initiatives, and promoting collaboration for sustainable regional policy. 🚀 Scaling and embed – translating science into practice with social impact within and beyond MUMC+.
