About Kopila Valley School

Located in the rural community of Surkhet, Kopila Valley School is a not-for-profit private school offering world-class, completely free schooling to needful students in the region, some of whom otherwise would not have been able to attend school. Distinct from many schools in the area, KVS offers the best education through an innovative place-based active learning program, a leading-edge, sustainable “green” school campus, and comprehensive, ongoing training of local teachers. Kopila Valley School is more than just a place to learn. At KVS, we are dedicated to creating an environment that fosters mutual respect, collaboration, deep learning, a connection with nature and the environment, and boundless creativity. Students here thrive at science fairs, theater performances, art month, football matches, and making a positive difference in themselves and their communities. KVS helps students become doers and future leaders.
