About Kumamoto DMC

Tourism is an industry with powerful economic ripple effects that has the potential to positively impact Japan's regional development amid the falling birth-rate and aging population. We believe that an increase in the number of people with genuine connections to Kumamoto sparked by tourism can be a driving force for revitalization of our rural areas. As a registered Destination Management Organization, we strive to create a positive future for Kumamoto Prefecture by strategic branding and sustainable management of our collective tourism resources.
