Kunana upcycles Ecuadorian bananas to create a plant-based milk that's delicious, sustainable and nutritious. Ecuador, being the world's largest exporter of bananas, generates 10k tons of banana waste every week, that's 5 billion bananas a year that don't get exported because of 'beauty standards'. On top of that, it represents 10% of a banana growers yield that is not able to sell. That's where Kunana comes in to provide an additional source of revenue to growers, while creating a delicious and environmentally conscious alternative to other alt-milks, and an excellent source of protein, calcium, fiber, potassium, and other nutrients.
