About LAG of Ionian Islands - Kefalonia & Ithaka

Local Action Groups (LAGs) are the mainstay of the implementation of the LEADER/CLLD approach. Their responsibilities include the development of local strategies, supporting stakeholder networking and the appraisal and approval of individual LEADER projects. LEADER is a local development method which has been used for 20 years to engage local actors in the design and delivery of strategies, decision-making and resource allocation for the development of their rural areas.
