Lusaka Apex Medical University (LAMU) was incorporated in June 2008 by 8 indigenous Zambian professionals. The main objective of this initiative was to complement Government’s efforts to train high quality human resource in the medical field. The establishment of Lusaka Apex Medical University has therefore full support of the National Authorities under the Public-Private Partnership arrangement. It pushes the bar upwards by focusing on relevant training in line with developments of technologies and techniques in the medical and health field globally. It brings in efficiencies associated with the private sector. Our Mission is to educate and train highly qualified healthcare professionals via state-of-the-art medical instruction, research and clinical practices, while simultaneously providing medical services to the public and collaborating with other institutions. Our Vision is to be a world renowned leader in medical education, training and health-related services within Zambia and beyond its borders.
