About Laxton CFO Services

Laxton CFO Services was founded in 2010 by Wendy Laxton to provide retained CFO services to small and growing organizations. Since then, Laxton has chosen to specialize in working with mission-driven, nonprofit companies and has brought on team members who share similar interests. At Laxton, we start with relationship building to create a partnership with our clients. We strive to make our clients feel supported and confident in their financial operations, so more time and energy can be focused on developing programs and stewarding supporters. The Laxton team understands the challenges nonprofits face in telling their financial stories. We start by listening to the needs of the leadership team. From there, we tailor an approach to create a healthy accounting and financial function that empowers management teams, informs board members, engages funders, complies with standards and regulations, and supports all of the organization’s constituents.
