About Leibniz Institute for the Analysis of Biodiversity Change

As one of the major research museums of the Leibniz Association, the LIB, together with the Museum Koenig Bonn and the Museum of Nature Hamburg, brings together collections, research, and knowledge transfer in order to understand changes in biological diversity and highlight ways to preserve it. Our central task is to preserve, document and make the 16 million objects from zoology, geology, paleontology, and mineralogy freely accessible — as a foundation for research, education, and social dialogue.
