At "Les Colombes du Faso", we are convinced that School is the best catalyst for personal and social development, enabling each individual to flourish and participate actively in the life of her/his country. We also believe that there is a global imperative to return and care for the earth. Located on 9 hectares of land, our school complex will welcome students aged 3 to 20 living in Soumousso, as well as local adult population for literacy program. We will offer vocational training alongside the national curriculum according to the local needs: sewing, breeding, eco-construction, permaculture. Our alternative educational framework is based on benevolence, learning by doing, mutual support and solidarity among students, and personal development. Located on the "the Great green wall", an African-led movement with an epic ambition to reforest 8,000km of land to stop the spread of the Sahara desert, we will use regenerative agriculture to help nature thrive and to store water into the earth. We will protect ancient seeds, create ambitious recycling program and work closely with the local community to help the thriving of local businesses. Our team is international and led by Burkinabe nationals, with vaste experience in Education and regenerative agriculture.
